owning a cow?

What do I need to own a jersey cow and her calf? What do i need to buy and have and also how much it will cost to buy the things for them? If you can pls tell me what things i will need to buy continously too thanks x

    Do you have pasture? If not you will need hay, some rich hay like alfalfa for milk production, a shelter for them to get out of the wind at least. Barn access is better. You'll need a copper or stainless bucket if you plan to milk, and a milking stool. Shots for the calf and a vet check for both. And you'll want halters and a lead rope, Rope halters are fine for cows. 10 bucks each and 10 for a lead rope. That's about it. I don't know anyone who grains their dairy cows.
