I can t hit a 70cm repeater?
My setup is the Baofeng UV5001 50W dual band mobile radio, with an antenna from amazon(https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00SZV7YT6/ref=yo_i... I mounted the antenna on the hood of my car using a hood mount. I found a repeater 1.1 miles away from me, and on my 50W unit, I set it to the frequency. And on my handheld radio, I set it at 5mhz more . When I transmitted on my 50W, I m not hearing anything from the repeater from my handheld unit. I ve set the CTCSS tone on my 50W unit as well, so i m not sure if it s the antenna or i m not doing something correctly. For this test I used UHF.
