Potentially yes but it may not be the direct cause. Diabetes comes in 2 types, one is genetic and the other is environmental. Type 2 diabetes which is environmental is most often caused by a neglectful lifestyle including high fat and sugar diets but could also be caused by other factors as well such a pancreatic disease. At all times it is best to keep the level of junk food intake down to avoid being at risk.

WHAT you eat does not cause diabetes. There is no food that you could stop eating that would guarantee that you would not get diabetes.

There is also no amount of exercise that you could do that would guarantee that you would not get diabetes.

You can LOWER your RISKS of getting diabetes by exercising and eating healthy. But even skinny, healthy people can end up with type 2 diabetes if there is a strong genetic history of it in their family.

  • You can get diabetes no matter what you do and eat. And no matter what you don't do nor eat.
