Girl's name??

So hubby and I are expecting #2. We currently have a daughter named April. We have a boy's name all picked out that we both love, Stanley, but are having a lot of trouble coming up with a girl's name. I like "old fashioned" names like Mabel and Elinor. Hubby likes unusual names like Pepper, but at the same time, he hates creative spellings. He's stubborn and whenever we start talking names, he'll mention other boys' names, but he hates every girl's name except Pepper, which I have made clear to him that I am not a fan of. Any suggestions for a girl's name?

I'm with everyone else here! PIPER! Loved the name since Charmed and it's waaay better than Pepper! It's only one syllable out! DON'T. CALL. HER. PEPPER. If I were your child and you called me Pepper, I'd seriously want to never ever go to school.

I'm also loving the suggestion of Heather. It's adorable!

    Other nice names:

    Fiona

    Leanne

    Corinne

    Violet

    Emilia

    Alice

    Odette

    Felicity

    Moriah

    Giselle

    Thalia

Can't express a lot of enthusiasm for Pepper as a given name, but it's okay as a nickname. How about Piper instead? Or Ginger?

Oh goodness, stay strong. Don't use Pepper . . . I don't even have any words for that one.

How about Piper? It's pretty much only one sound away from Pepper, yet it's a million miles better. It's a name, for one. It's also very pretty, and rather timeless.

April & Piper sound okay together.

    Other ideas:

    - Penelope

    - Peyton

    - Heather

    - Esther

    - Rachel

    - Heidi

    - Briar

Heather and Esther sounds like Pepper, kind of.

    April & Mabel are great.

April & Penelope maybe? He could call her Pepper as a sort of nickname since Penelope and Pepper are a bit similar
