My Manager at work to me not to come in today because of snowy weather but I have a SUV and she knows that. Should I go in anyways?

My car handles great in the snow and I work nights 4:30 to midnight. 4 days a week (30 to 35 hours). I don t like my job but I deal because it gets me paid. Should I tell my boss (company owner) that I ll come in anyways?

    COMMUNICATE.

Your boss may appreciate your offer and take you up on it.

Then again, if you work in a service business and there aren't enough customers due to the weather, then you don't get to work.

This is your boss's decision. You don't get to unilaterally decide when/if you're working.

No. You were told not to go in. Don 't go in. At the time she told you, you could have told her then that your car handles fine in snow but, since you did not mention it then, do not just show up. She has obviously planned for your not being there.

If your boss tells you to stay home, you should stay home. Is there a snow emergency where you live? If there is and you get caught out on the road, both you and your employer could be fined.
