Get prices. Most insurance companies will give a discount if you insure several things on the same policy so it's often cheaper.

It can also make life simpler, say if your car burnt up in your garage.

You need to claim on your building insurance, your car insurance, and your contents insurance for the other items in the garage. I know i"d prefer to deal with just one claim for the whole event.

To take advantage of any/all discounts, simply use the same insurance company for all of your needs. One policy? 2 policies? 3 policies? That is up to the agent and the insurance company. They will advise you about that.

Take advantage of the Bundled pricing and a local agent to service your needs.
