What could be causing my slow heart rate?

I m a 24 year old male I have a few medical conditions and I do take toprol which I know can lower heart rate but I ve been on it for almost 2 years with no problems. My heart rate is hanging around the 50s at rest but sometimes dips down to 45. What could be causing this? I don t have any chest pain or trouble breathing. I ve been really tired lately and feel like I m getting sick. Could that cause it?

If you have no symptoms, low heart rate means nothing.

It's only if you get dizzy, blurred vision, etc, then it's a problem.

You probably need to adjust your medication. Taking too much is never good.
