What would you do if you found out, mid-service, that an atheist was attending your church service/mass/temple that day?
I have attended several services of many religions. I think it is worth noting that I was an invited guest at all of them. Most of the time I arrived, talked with people and left with very few, if any accept the person who brought me. However, I always wondered what would happen if everyone knew. I am especially curious as to what would've happened at the more evangelical denominations of Christianity and at the Mosque that I went to. Would their reactions change?
Would you make any effort to talk to him or her? Would you leave immediately after? Would you feel uneasy? Mad? Indifferent?
Any religion or denomination feel free to answer.

Nothing! Why would I? It has been noted that not all members of a church agrees with everything preached to them and most don't even believe in a lot of what the bible teaches. There are preachers who still preach that don't even believe in what they preach! It's just a congregation of people who congregate for spiritual reasons. Most do because it was handed down to them and they enjoy the fellowship.

Oh my gosh who cares!??? How stupid, and why would I find out mid-service? What do you do, wear a sign around your neck that says I'm an atheist? I'm sure we have non-believers come in all the time.
I welcome you. Stay and hang out with us and have coffee afterwards. I wanna hear about what you do for a living and where you live and what your interests are. I want to introduce you around to people.
Everyone is welcome in my church.

You go to the church, they will then count you as one more christian.
That is one reason there are so many christians, because of a large number of atheists who often attend for their own reasons. Usually it is to keep the peace in family, community or at their job.

Ignore them completely, like I do with everybody else...that or make fun of them. Thats pretty much what my siblings and I have always done at church

Nothing, dear. But that depends on how i found out. If someone was wispering, nothing. But if they stood up screaming "THERE IS NO GOD" and lashing out like a nasty demon striking people and making a scene, i would do what i can to help to eject them from the church and from hurting anyone else or causing a scene.

Atheist are welcome to attend mass, as long as their intentions are not against the Church, otherwise attending mass would be stupid. I would speak to them
