Asking a girl you barely know for her number?
I work at this restaurant with a girl who is very attractive. I've never had a conversation with her though. Whenever she walks by I notice that she gives me a quick look and walks away and other times she walks by she has her head down as if she's avoiding looking at me. Idk of she's shy around me or not but the point is i want to ask her for her number. I'm thinking of just going right up to her and asking her for her number but then again, I don't think I've even spoken 10 words to her. Should I ask her for her number now or should I wait till we've had a few conversations? (Finding a way to strike up a good conversation would be difficult considering she seems a little shy around me.)

Are you nuts! She'll think you're a total freek if you just ask her for her number out of the blue.
Go and chat with her a few times first. You work with her everyday and you have a great opportunity to strick up a conversation.

On Monday or Tuesday, ask if she did anything fun over the weekend. Get her talking about fun activities and mention how much you enjoy bowling, even though you are not very good. Your goal is to get her interested in joining you for a fun time bowling. You can invite her to join you next week, but you cannot directly ask her on a date at work.
