The name Audrey?

I see the appeal in the sense that it's a traditional name with a good meaning. It's also short, sweet and simple, is spelled easily and isn't the sort of choice that's ever going to cause a problem during childhood or adulthood. But, like you, I don't particularly care for it myself.

Audrey is a little too plain, especially in comparison to the similar but masculine Aubrey (which has a much more noble appeal). It's not especially memorable, it's not particularly feminine, by my standards at least, and overall it just seems to be lacking something. There's nothing bad about Audrey that I can find, but I also don't see the 'WOW' factor that everyone else seems to. Oh well. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.

At the end of the day, I'd rather people name their daughters Audrey as opposed to Nevaeh, Appaleigh or Skylynne.

I can see why people like it, but it's not something I would personally use.

A name that's rather popular that I can't find the appeal of is Aria. It sounds awkward to me and really made up.

Its not an awful name or anything but I think its a name that's best in 1940s.....
