Is it a date or just a friend hangout?
I made out with this guy at a party. He asked for my number and said that we should do something sometime. The next day he texted me asking if id like to hangout this week and go for dinner. Im confused if its a hang out or a date. My friend says that you dont hook up then just go hang out as friends.... when guys ask girls to go out one on one is it a date?

since you hooked up it sounds like a date. if you really can't figure it out by then i would say wait until you see him and get a feel for his "vibe" whether it is a date or not. but it most likely is a date.
