2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee all wheel drive.?

When making a hard right turn there is a noise from the rear that sound like tires slipping on the pavement. When I jack up the rear and try to turn the wheel they turn easily for about 3/4 turn then it gets real hard to turn. Any ideas? Lube is fine. This seems to only happen on a right turn and not al the time??

Aside from others' comments, have you touched the e-brake system lately?
