What you need is to learn the guidelines from the bible, and forget the nonsense you have heard from random preachers and wandering fools. Read a chapter of Proverbs every day. Proverbs has 31 chapters so you can keep your place by just looking at a calendar. There is no religion or nothing in Proverbs and you don't have to believe anything. Just read every day. When you are comfortable with that, then read the bible from Romans to 2 Thessalonians over and over until you start to remember what it says. That is the part that applies to Christians. Here is a book to help you to understand the bible. It's a free download and you can get a hard copy at any bible book store. http://philologos.org/__eb-htetb/ "How To Enjoy The Bible"

That was the whole point Jesus was trying to make, that they needed to change their barbaric, horrid law that was responsible for putting him on a cross for saying I am God. They did terrible, terrible things because they were mindless cavemen, and we have moved forward quite a lot since then, and need to continue to move forward, taking only the basic idea, which is be nice to people, and then add to that animals as well, and you know, smart, reasonable things like that. We can't let the words in an old book hold us back from progress as a species.

Why don't you invent a new religion? It can't be any worse than existing religions. Don't have a sacred text though: just say that scientists are your prophets (whether they know or agree to it or not) and they are actively discovering the true nature of reality in a never ending iterative quest of refinement and correction. That lets you avoid many of the pratfalls of other religions which keep finding themselves in disagreement with science.

    google arkdiscovery.

then youtube for 'a sinai connect' series, 'the great secret of solomon's temple' 'trinity on trial' & 'identity crisis'.

you'll have plenty of guildlines there.

2 other great series are 'total onslaught' & its sequel 'rekindling the reformation'....& 'from crete to malta"...also on youtube.

as for future generations? wont happen. jesus is coming back anywhere from about 15 years - 97 years. thats due to watching events by using 2 different calendars.

also there is talk of the mark of the beast going into effect sometime next year...maybe by around halloween (interesting choice) or just a bit later. total onslaught/sequal/crete to malta will really bring that out.

Nah. "Do no harm" and "do unto others as ye would be done by" are pretty timeless.

I'm also quite enamored of "if someone likes to do something and it isn't hurting anyone, then don't be a dick"

Come to think, these rules also support a good society even if you don't believe a god gave them.

New guidelines for Christianity or the entire world?

That would depend entirely on which god you're talking about.
