Are American politics becoming more extreme as time goes by?

Yes, we have some insane and extreme people in this country.

Put a moderate up against a radical leftist or rightist and they automatically lose.

Look at the four leading candidates.

Sanders advocates Democratic SOCIALISM. It doesn't work, folks!

Clinton is a corrupt liar. We don't really need to elaborate.

Trump has fascist beliefs, like profiling muslims and a national economy.

Cruz isn't much better. If anything he's losing to Trump right now because he's indeed *worse*

The losing candidates, Rubio and Kasich are the least polarized. Kasich actually wants to work with Democrats. In turn, he's in last place. Rubio is the establishment pick it seems, though four are out ahead of him.

The two major parties certainly are becoming more extreme. But politics in America have always been extreme throughout American history. We did become a nation through revolution, after all. Read a history book.
