Should I watch Kill la Kill?

It looks like a really good anime but I'm scared that it'll have inappropriate scenes (I have no idea, all I've seen is Yuuko's outfit).

Is it just me thinking it's inappropriate or does it have a few weird scenes?

Kill la Kill is an action-shounen parody about Japanese fan service and censorship, so naturally it there are a few scenes that can be a bit awkward. It's not "inappropriate" in the sense that there are explicit sex scenes or full frontal nudity (though nudity DOES play a large role in the story, both for legitimate plot purposes and for fan service), but anyone who just passes by might get the impression that it's just another ecchi series (even though it's not).

Kill la Kill is very aware with what it's doing with nudity, and the scenes are directed in such a way that it's obvious that the fan service scenes aren't meant to be solely for fan service. The story itself a very thrilling ride all the way (especially if you like series like FLCL or Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann with the exaggerated scenes and rough art style), but if you're concerned about the more "risque" scenes, you may want to watch it alone or with a few very close friends, and not someone you would feel uncomfortable with (e.g. your parents or something).

Grow a pair. If you're that worried, don't watch anime.
