Is Jesus Christ the same yesterday today and forever Heb 13:8?

In Matthew 15:1-14 Jesus called out the Pharisees because they were keeping a tradition that made HIS Fathers Command of no effect. Jesus said they were hypocrites and worshiped in vain. The blind leading the blind!

Now fast forward some 25 years and a Pharisee by the name of Paul came to Jerusalem calming to be a follower of Christ. The Church is teaching that Paul started a new tradition that made GOD's Sabbath day Command of no effect.

If you believe Paul started a new tradition please explain how being tortured to death for the sins of the world changed our Saviors attitude about traditions replacing HIS Fathers Commands!

GOD Bless,

JESUS is Lord, not Paul!

You are working from an assumption, and that is that God/Christ deals with faithful people the same way He deals with unfaithful people.

    Assumptions lead to deceptions.

Paul, being a "doctor of the Law" knew a lot more about the law than you. He understood how the law worked, and understood who the law applied to; the Hebrews. The only provision in the law for those not born Hebrew to come under the law was through circumcision in the flesh. Were gentile Christians required to do so? No.

The Father's commands were to Christ. Christ is identified as being the God of that old covenant incarnate and as such, was the author of those commandments that includes the Sabbath commandment.

When it came to the Sabbath, Jesus had two things of note He taught: 1) Not to judge according to appearance, and 2) It is lawful to do good works on the Sabbath, as contrasted to evil works.

This begs the question then... are your works good, or evil, or do you also judge according to appearance, claiming a work is deemed good or evil, not based on the merits of the works themselves, but by whether they are performed on the Sabbath or not?

Paul did not merely claim to be a follower of Christ. He was a follower, as attested by his acceptance by the original apostles -- the gospel he preached was the same as theirs: Jesus Christ is the divine Word of God incarnate, who suffered and died for our sakes, and rose again in triumph over sin and death and the devil. And as St. Paul stated clearly,

    Philippians 2:9-11

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted [Jesus], and given him a name which is above every name:

    That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

You seem to think Paul preaches another gospel. There is no "other gospel" that is true. St. Paul preaches Jesus, the Truth.

    Forgive me.

The gospel is not about following traditions. Yes Paul was a Pharisee, strict in keeping to the letter of the law and the rules. But when he saw Jesus on the Damascus road he was changed from within. He realised he was not doing God will in killing and persecuting Christians. But was without knowing it doing Satan's will. From that moment that he saw Jesus, he began to seek to do God's will. Like many who turn away from there sins and turn to God through faith in Jesus Christ alone - repentance. He Paul was now under God's grace, rather than God's law.

Those laws were given to Jews for a Jewish nation.

He cast them off as his people. Set up a new religion and Jesus did not recommend all Pharisees but some he did teach the truth to. Today we have many different religions and God is showing some people the truth from the bible but most he is not. So it is by and infivual basis rather than by nations.

Jesus was a Pharisee by training. Paul was a learned Pharisee struggling to accord the new faith with what he understood from Jewish 'theology'. As people should always be doing.

Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sin.

Some things must be taken at face value and over dissected by lack of understanding of the reader.

it depends on what you define by calling him the same. he was not the same when he was a spirit being, he was not the same when he was mortal, he was not the same as a spirit being or mortal when he was resurrected. but, there is an LDS doctrine that mentions he is the same always and forever in the resurrected body that he is exalted in.

he will keep the commandments of God, and he will be strict in judgment, but then again he says he will forgive those whom he will forgive.

Reject Paul and you reject Christ and the apostles.
