What is the point in teen dating?

I mean realistically it's not likely Person A and Person B who are in the 8th Grade are going to be able to stay in a Committed Relationship all the way through High School and end up getting married. As soon as they break up they just wasted each others time and is it supposed to give us life experience or something.

What do we know about love.

It's not a waste of time if you can fondly remember times you had fun or enjoyed time with each other. That being said, a relationship is an investment, and you shouldn't be dating just to "date" someone. It can give you a life experience, but only date if you honestly care for each other.

It is called "experience". Teen dating is when people learn to interact in a relationship. They start to learn how to behave and what behavior to expect. Think of it as practice.

It's kind of out of control. It's not like parents are saying kids should be doing it (at least, I hope not!). But a bunch of things are working together to push kids into growing up earlier and earlier. It's not good for them, but the peer pressure must be enormous.
