How would you spell this name?
Madeleine, Madeline, Madelyn, Madalyn, etc...I mean I have seen several varations. I really love Madeleine, but I heard that its pronounced Mad-a-leen not Mad-a-lynn (which is how I will be pronouncing it).
Also, is Maddie a ok full name? I really love the nick name and that's what I would be calling her.
Not pregnant, just wondering.
variations* Wow, must be tired :P

I'd pronounce all of those differently.
Madeleine - mad-uh-layn
Madeline - mad-uh-liyn
Madelyn - mad-eh-lyn
Madalyn - mad-ah-lyn
But people would accept all the pronunciations on all forms I think as its used so often anyway.
I think Maddie is okay as a full name. I know a Maddie and she loves it. You do run the risk of people calling her by a full name though. I've known people with a nickname for a full name having their information changed because people think they're helping or that someone didn't include their full name, when actually that was the full name. So for that reason personally I'd probably avoid it and give her a full name she can use, with Maddie as the nickname. It clears up the confusion that way.

I like the classic Madeleine and I'd pronounce it somewhere between Mad-uh-lyn and Mad-uh-len.
I think Maddie is too nicknamey to be a full name, I'd give her a more elegant, traditional full name and then nickname her Maddie. Madeleine will look better on a job application than Maddie.

I've always spelled it as Madeline and pronounced it mad-uh-lynn. I think Maddie is better as a nickname.

I think you're right about the pronunciation, Madeleine would probably be pronounced like Mad-a-leen. I think Maddie is a good full name, though I usually see Maddie with the full name Madison.

Madeleine and Madeline are two different names said differently.
Madeleine is mad uh lehn
Madeline is mad uh line.
Depending on how you want it said would point to the spelling.

I think Madeleine is the prettiest and 99% of people will pronounce it the way you like. Maddie works as a nickname, but I think it seems incomplete as a whole.

Madeleine is the French pronunciation. Mad uh len or something.
Madelyn is best unless you want the sound "line" at the end, then do Madeline.
Maddie is too nicknamey for a full name. not good
