And please the math to do it. It's on my home work paper but I don't understand how to get it.
Thank you so much if u help

Quarts are a unit of volume. Tons are a measurement of mass. Unless you know the density of the material, you can't convert between the two.
For example, a quarter ton of feathers would take up more space than a quarter ton of gold.
Most often, problems assume a common liquid like water. Water has a density of 8.345 lbs. per gallon, or 2.086 lbs. per quart; let's just round that to 2 lbs. per quart.
A ton is 2000 lbs, so a 0.25 ton is 1/4 of that or 500 lbs.
Divide by 2 lbs/qt. to get the volume in quarts:
500 / 2 ≈ 250 quarts
Answer:
For water, about 250 quarts.

A quart is a measure of volume. A ton is a measure of weight. You need a conversion factor, and that depends on what you are measuring and weighing.
Suppose you are dealing with water. A quart of water weighs approximately 2 pounds.
0.25 tons × 2000 pounds/ton = 500 pounds
500 pounds × (1 quart)/(2 pounds) ≅ 250 quarts
The actual amount is closer to 269 quarts.

Usually "ton" measures mass or weight, but sometimes it can be used to measure volume.
For example, the displacement ton is 35 cubic feet, which is 60480 cubic inches. So 0.25 of those is 15120 cubic inches.
A US liquid quart is 57.75 cubic inches.
So 0.25 displacement tons is about 261.81818181818181818181818181818 US liquid quarts.

That math does not exist :P Seriously, quarts are a measure of volume and tons are a measure of force (weight).
The only way that such a calculation could be done is if you know the density (mass/volume=m/V) then you could say...
q(m/V)g=t where q=quarts, g=-32, m=slugs, t=tons
or if you knew (as is often used when dealing with imperial units "weight density")
qy=t, where y=weight-density
q=t/y

.25 tons is 500 lbs. Water weighs 8lbs per gallon. 500/8=62.5 gallons. There are 4 qts in a gallon. 62.5x4=250 therefore the answer is 250
