How much Fat is in my Granola Bar?
I'm doing a food tracking assignment for a class. The granola says it has: Total Fat= 2.5g and Sat. Fat= 1g. Is there 2.5g of fat or 3.5g? I have to track fat in general.

Total Fat is in bold text, anything listed underneath it which is moved slightly to the right means it's included already in the Total Fat count. For example: sugar and fiber are considered carbs, so if a slice of bread contains 23 Total Carbohydrates, then they will list how many of those 23 carbs are fiber and how many are sugar underneath. So 4 of those are sugar and 1 is fiber. So subtract 5 from 23 and you get 18 carbs left which are starch. But that's advanced, the answer is 2.5g fat, and one of those 2.5 grams is saturated. Again, look at the bold text.

Total (2.5g) would include ALL fat.
1g of the fat happens to be saturated.
So 1.5g fat + 1g saturated fat.
