Cartilage Piercing Pain..?
I got my cartilage pierced about three months ago with a needle. It's not infected, but it's still tender to sleep on and it hurts if someone hits it when hugging/kissing me, etc.
There's a little bit of scar tissue right on the piercing that's barely noticeable. I read about some home remedies to treat it, but I was going to wait a while. I haven't taken out the piercing once, but got the bead color changed by a person at the tattoo/piercing shop. She pierced it with a ring, so I've left in the ring & only changed it that one time.
Is it normal for it to still hurt? Didn't mean for it to be so long, just didn't want to lack information because I'm not sure what could be involved, etc.

Hey! I'm sorry you're in pain, I can definitely relate. I got my cartilage done four years ago and it still hurts to sleep on but that's because I got mine done with a gun, I hadn't done any research :(. ANYWAYS, Don't worry quite yet. Cartilage takes a lot longer to heal than your lobes.. Cartilage piercings can take 3-6 months to heal so just give it time :) make sure to keep it clean and I'm sure you'll be fine. Just try sleeping on the other side until it has fully healed. Good luck girl

I'd go back to the studio and have a talk with your piercer and see if they can check it out just to make sure everything is healing up nicely.
