Can I get a tattoo at 14 in North Dakota? If so, how much will it cost?
I live in Minnesota, where the legal age to get a tattoo is 18. But as of today it has officially been one year since I first attempted suicide. I wanted to get a tattoo to represent how I overcame suicide, depression, self-harm etc. The words Darling, you ll be okay on the inner part of my right wrist is what I had in mind, not that big. If I were to drive to a tattoo parlor in Fargo (with my mother) would I be able to get a tattoo? Also, if you have any idea how much it would cost that would be appreciated as well.
Thanks.
Update: I have my mothers consent. In Minnesota you can't get a tattoo under 18 even with consent. I just want to know if I drive to Fargo I can get one or not.

The law says, from what I am seeing, that you can get one as long as you have parental consnet. This is the state law, but each county may have other laws in place.
Just because it is legal does not mean that an artist has to tattoo you.
No professional will tattoo a 14 year old, no matter how special the tattoo is. I think its a great reason for a tattoo, but no professional will touch you. This is because you are still growing, and no matter what the tattoo will end up looking weird and distorted once you have grown up.
As for cost, we have no idea how much this will cost you. Call some tattoos hops in the city you are willing to drive to and ask them if they will tattoo a child and how much it would cost.

From what I've read you should be fine to get a tattoo with parental consent, but call up a few shops ahead of time to ask and make an appointment. You should also check out the artists work to make sure they'll be good at what you want, and just so you know have a better idea of how to tell them to do the tattoo.
I live in upstate New York and that would cost 40-75 here, before tip. It really depends on where you go, the actual size, and the intricacy of the lettering though.

You need a consent from your parent anywhere you go until your are 18. Otherwise there are underground tattoo artists but they are unsanitary and may actually not care what you want

No. If the legal age is 18, then you need to wait another 4 years, irrelevant of your reasons for wanting one.
