Is there anything from past ages in history that you wish were to happen or be brought back now?
I for example wish the simplicity of life. You work your own skill and trade, earn a bit of pay, grow your own food and be satisfied most of the time enjoying your God-given rights because there isn't as much worldly things to distract you or standards to force you to what the society expects you to be.
I'm not saying that life in the past is easy. I'm only saying, life seems less complicated back then. I want to bring that notion to the present because the world just got too complicated to me.
How about your vision of something in the past human history that you wish could be brought back now? Any thoughts? You may explain please.
EDIT:
I'm not saying your brick back much of the old ways but if you could selectively choose something from the past that you think could be helpful or relevant now, that would be great. I'm getting a bit of sarcasm here.

I wish we could go back to pre-plastic days... or the good ole days of television, when there wasn't commercial advertising or channel/program advertising and pop-ups during regular programming.

I don't think getting up before dawn to feed the chickens carrying a bucket a dozen times up from the well and standing behind a horse and plow is all that simple. There never was a simpler time than the modern age.

It's much easier to list the things that most people would prefer not to be brought back - appalling infant and maternal mortality, older children dying of diseases that could have been avoided by better hygiene, nourishment, vaccination and anti-biotics. Cruelty to animals. The plague bacillus...and medieval dentistry...

How does a life expectancy of 40 fit into your utopian dream. Perhaps we could bring back slavery, or the black death. Perhaps with our misuse of antibiotics it might happen sooner than we all think.
I wouldn't miss mobile phones if we could selectively eradicate one major intrusion into your simple life, or those annoying erks who are always pestering me on my landline about PPI or solar panels!
How about crucifiction for conmen, now there's a thought.

Anyone and everyone are able to live their life as people did in history. Few would want to.
Life is what it is, and was what it was. Many things look romantic as viewed through the lens of history but were not all that they are cracked up to be.
I will accept the world as it is. Wishing is worthless and time wants for no one.

If I were to say a period in modern time it would definitely be the "peak" of American civilization. One can make the argument that we are in a state of decline as of now. The apex of the US is extremely controversial, but if I had to pick, I would pick that.

No. I don't . Life is what you make it. My life is simple now.
