Guys, tell me your worst marriage/divorce story!?

I'm bored at work, and could use your stories to cheer me up.

I have never been divorced, but I can share the most horrifying wedding (and later, divorce) situation I have ever witnessed.

    1. A shotgun wedding. The couple truthfully only got married because the woman was pregnant. I had the very awkward experience of bumping into the SOBBING groom and his mother who was trying to console him, outside in the parking lot of the reception hall. This man was in tears moaning about "I can't believe what I've done!" and his mother was patting him on the back repeating "you're doing the right thing, honey." The couple divorced before that baby even turned one.

Well, a buddy of mine was addicted to pain killers and got DUIs and all kinds of stuff, also yelled at his fiancee and I assume probably hit her too. She thought getting married would make all of that disappear. So they got married at the court house, a couple weeks later he tried to choke her out, and they were filing for divorce in less than 4 months.

She has since moved on and has a happy and healthy relationship with someone new. He still can't get his life together and blames everything on the rest of the world, rather than taking any personal responsibility.

If you want to be cheered up, wouldn't it make more sense to ask people to tell you their BEST marriage/divorce story rather than their worst?!?

Really, to hear how someone else's failed marriage will bring you good cheer? I say this respectfully, "Get A Life" and go do something grand for someone else today.

Well I'll tell you about a time I was young and dumb. When I was about 20 I worked as nurse's aid. There was a man who I worked with about 35 at the time. He got to know me and after work hours he would text me and compliment me. He was a body builder so he worked out a lot at the gym, I worked out too a lot at the time so we had that in common. He started hitting on me big time and wanted to be friends with benefits. Only problem..was he explained that he was married. I was aware he was married, but he was a very secretive guy who kind of lead his own life so the wife was never mentioned. and since he was always out at the gym by himself I never saw her or thought much about her. He explained though, that the marriage was simply a "green card" situation. The wife had wanted to move here from Canada so she could do her business here, and since they were acquaintances, he agreed to marry her so that she could live and work here.

I totally fell for the story, so when he proposed friends with benefits, I thought it would be a new venture to try. We tried it out for awhile and it was going fine. We stll worked together, on occasion. It was kind of a busy place so didn't see each other much at work. But one day, this lady came in to our work. It was his "green card wife". She had something to give him.. She took one look at me and had this look of hate on her face.

When she left, I said.. I noticed your "wife" looked at me with this look of hate..what was that all about? at that point he had to come clean and acknowledge that..well.. maybe she was a tad bit more than a green card wife.. she was still his "real" wife.. at least she thought so.. in fact..she was pregnant!! and he explained how at one point.he asked his wife if she would be intersted in having a threesome with a girl at work..(the girl being me) she declined and didn't want to do it..

that's when he had to revivse his plan and ended up coming up with this "green card" story to tell me so that I would sleep with a married man.

after that, I was done with the friends with benefits thing and cut him off. I found out several months later though, that he was proposing this same lie with another young lady I worked with..I filled her in on his lie. Not sure how things went for his marriage.. he did end up having his baby several months later

Once upon a time a mother would use all her child support money to take trips and spend on herself leaving her children in rags and hungry.

If you're bored at work, perhaps you should try doing your job.
