Fluid squirting out of ear like a popped zit?

One of the guys at work his face around his eyes was red and cheks. A few hours later while standing in front of me fluid squirttted out his ear like a popped zit what's wrong with him

    Found out the day before he was cleaning his ear with a Q-Tip when someone open a door hitting his elbow shoving the Q-tip deep into his ear, busting his eardrum. Took a day for it to get infected and explode.
