How did the Western European kingdoms that inherited the regions and people once ruled by Rome use Roman traditions, practices and institutions for their own development? Discuss at least three traditions, practices or institutions

    This is too much to ask here, but the Catholic Church continued. The Church's organization into archbishoprics, bishoprics, dioceses and parishes mirrored Roman structure. Bishops replaced the Roman magistrates and the Pope replaced the Pontifex Maximus.

    Catholic ritual itself relied heavily upon pagan practices such as candles, incense, lustrations, aspersions, the ritual meal of the Communion, blessings, baptisms, etc. Church law derived from Roman law.

    i think your teacher wants to hear YOUR opinions on this based on YOUR reading of your course materials.

    I would argue that they did not.

    The rebirth of Rome, or the Renaissance, as you might call it, came about by discovering Roman writings in monasteries and brought back from Arab held regions during the Crusades.

    When Rome fell the time after it was called, until recently, the "Dark Ages" because little written was discovered or know. That is how hard Rome fell.
