Can you socket sword runewords into daggers in diablo II?
For quite the longest time I've wondered if you could use 2-3 socket sword runewords into daggers. I can't for the life of me find any information about whether or not daggers (non-throwing) were considered sword class when it came to runewords. Has anyone tried any of the runewords on daggers?

No, daggers and swords do not count as the same in terms of runewords.
Only runewords that require "All Weapons" or "Melee weapons" can be made using a dagger.
Fury - Jah + Gul + Eth - requires 3os melee weapon
Malice - Ith + El + Eth - 3os melee weapon
Strength - Amn + Tir - 2os melee weapon
Venom - Tal + Dol + Mal - 3os any weapon
Wind - Sur + El - 2os melee weapon
That's all of them
