What should I do with this burro s tail succulent?
I just got this burros tail succulent plant and it s huge! However it was forgotten about for years in a greenhouse and it s gotten thick and unruly and it has whole areas that are shedding leaves and breaking off. Also it s got to be root bound. I was thinking about trimming it up, thinning it out, and possibly splitting the plant and repotting it. I have never dealt with something like this, though, and I m trying to figure out a way to go about it. Thanks!

You can trim some of the scraggly looking branches, but don't do too much at once. The branches you cut off will grow roots if you stick their ends in soil, so you can propogate the cuttings that way. You can also repot it in a larger container using a cactus potting mix. It may take some time to fill out after you give it a trim, but just be patient!
