how to adopt a child? can you give me advice, procedures to follow? also how much it costs in the US?

    If you want to adopt an infant, you are looking at anywhere from $15,000 to $30,000.

    If you adopt a child or a sibling group who are legally free for adoption but living in foster care, it is either free or very low cost.

    Either way, the place to start is with a home study. You can talk to your local department of human services about how to arrange that.

    Foster-to-adopt is free in the U.S. You even get a free lawyer.
