Is a girl being superficial or shallow attractive to some men?

Update:

I'm writing an essay on the portrayal of blondes in the media as being superficial. I'm talking about the theory created by Laura Mulvey on the male gaze. Do you think a girl being superficial would be attractive to people?

In many cases, females who are shallow put their appearance as a very high priority. So expect well groomed hair, nails, clothes, make-up, and physically fit. This of course is appealing to many men. A percentage of those types of woman may act (or be) ditzy acting. It's the "damsel in distress routine," and some men eat that sh't up like a Hungry Man cuisine. It feeds into his possible need to feel manly, needed, heroic, etc. the problems arise though after a period of time when the man realizes the shallow chic is boring as snot, because she invested so much into her physical appearance she didn't put anything into becoming a well rounded person. (Well read, has interests, current on current affairs, etc). This is needed for stimulating conversation. So in short, yes, shallowness can be an initial attraction to some men, but in most cases will not hold their attention.
