Okay so for a bit of context, I'm 17 and I've been looking for work since last year. My best friend and I went in to this gift store with our resumes about 3 months ago and she got the job. Neither of us have really that much experience so I've only had about 3 interviews. Anyway the manager called me about a month ago saying there's another opening just for sundays (my friend works on Thursday nights and Saturday) and that I could apply if I wanted... so I gave her my resume again, had 2 (unpaid) trials on separate sundays for a few hours. It was stressful. The shop is very quiet but the manager (she's an older lady who is VERY serious) kept giving me strange looks like I have no idea what I'm doing. When I did the cash register (first time with one like that by the way...) I messed up a number and she got very angry with me in front of the customer. I was humiliated. I try to make conversation with her but she hardly ever smiles it's so awkward. She gave me the contract a few days ago and gave me a few speeches/lectures. She said that all the girls she's hired stay for at least 3 years so she needs someone very reliable. (she even asked me what university I'm planning on going to!) She told me that she doesn't want someone to accept the job but then leave after 5 months. I guess that's fair enough but at the end of the day it's also my choice if I want to leave. (a bit more in update section)..

I was always told to "show not tell" when I wirte creatively. But if I write about someone with mind powers how will it show? Is there a way I can hint at the character being able to read minds without plainly saying it?

Last year I "dip dyed" the tips of hair blue. I had to bleach it first. If I dye it dark brown will it go back to normal?

Yes people still use CDs..

I have an HP windows 10 laptop. Eveything was fine last week but the past few days I've noticed my windows media player isnt playing the cds. I can still find the cd on my file explorer but when I open it my media player bugs out and wont play anything. Any advice?? Thanks

They're my favourite band, I saw them live last month and seeing them again next year; just curious what other people think of them? Some of my friends don't like how they have so many different genres (they are rap, pop, rock, reggae, they have elements of ukulele in their songs..) but I think that's part of the reason why I love them so much. What do you think of them? If you are a fan, when did you first start getting into them? :)

I'm a teenager. I have experience in a café a few years ago but it was mostly dishwashing and cleaning. I've also worked at an after school care program for ages. I've tried to volunteer in charity shops to get more experience but they have enough people already. What should I do? I need a job so badly

Gonna watch movies and eat pizza and junk food but what else? I want to play some fun game or do something together. Some of the girls go to different schools so might need an ice breaker or two.

I've organised a slumber party to celebrate my birthday next week! All together there will be 7 of us. What are some cool games we could play? Outdoor or indoor, it starts at 6.30 so ones in the dark could be cool too!

The plan is to watch movies, eat pizza, maybe do a face mask..

I'm having some trouble finding games that aren't too childish but aren't too adult either. One girl I invited is only 15 and she's so innocent and cute- no drinking games!! Spin the bottle is out of the question too.

We have lots of balloons so something with those could be cool?

I don't want to do wink murder or games like that because we have all played those before. Something new/unique would be great!

I have worked at an after school care and café (long time ago and I didn't make coffee I just served them). I'm a teenager and I want to get into retail or become a barista. I've applied for so many places but I'm underqualified for everything. Help please? Besides volunteering to get more experience how do I sell myself to employers? I'm a quick learner and self motivated, very reliable but they always ask in the interview "what is your experience handling cash" and I don't know the right way to say I have no experience. I don't even know if this question makes sense but if you have any advice please let me know!! :) Thank you!

She is super crafty but has all the supplies for that. She doesn't like bath soaps or gift cards because those seem to be gifts you get for someone if you can't think of anything else. Well I can't think of anything so I need your help! She doesn't drive, she's not a huge fan of cooking. She has enough photo frames and candles too. She's so hard to buy for! I can't think of anything she needs or wants. Pleeaase tell me your ideas

Not lame childish ones like pin the tail on the donkey but also not drinking ones since one girl coming isn't even 16 yet haha. I have 2 largish rooms in the house that we could use but also and outside area surrounded by trees where we would hopefully spend some time (weather dependant of course). Thank you!!
