Hi I audition for a character and I was wondering how long it takes for them to respond to an audition?

If you did the open call audition for Disney, you'll only hear something if they were interested in seeing more of you - which they pretty much let you know right away. Which means you probably won't hear anything at all. Sorry. This wasn't a real audition - it was a cattle call. No one is going from this open audition to a lead in the Disney movie.

In addition to these auditions, Disney would have contacted agents and arranged for professional child actors to audition as well. This cattle call is more of a publicity stunt. But hopefully you had fun and you did have a chance to practice an audition and meet some casting directors. These are good things. But the fact is professional acting is a business. If you're serious about attempting a professional acting career (instead of dreaming of being "discovered") you and your parents should learn more about the industry. A couple of helpful websites to give you and your parents a more realistic understanding:

Most actors never get a response at all. They'll contact you if you're wanted for a recall or if you've won the role. Otherwise, almost certainly nothing.

But if you mean the Disney 'open call' - it wasn't a real one. Just a publicity stunt and for fun.

Yeah, like as if all businesses take the same time to respond to auditions. Only if that was how life works...

If you get the part, you may hear from them in a few days, or even a few weeks depending on what their production time table is but you can't worry about that. If you do not get the part, you will simply not hear anything. They don't have time to call everyone and tell them they didn't get the part. If that's your phone not ringing, that's them not calling.
