Why does everybody dislike cris cyborg?

She's finally in the ufc where she should be . I feel dana white was trying to protect ronda rousey from her makeing it unfair for cris sayin there couldn't be any catch weight and wanted crus to lose so much weigh to fight ronda .. Cris cyborgs in ufc and I feel if a HOT attest is girl that's as good as cris is there's be much more hype about her entering the promotion . Why do I get this sense that people make excuses to dislike based on her appearense ? I thought we was gonna take women's mma seriously ? Not make it into a sex selling promotion ... If it was modeling ok cris wouldn't be worthy I admit this but it's fighting And looks shouldn't matter . She's the best women's mmaer out there give her respect

Everyone one does not dislike Cyborg. She has many loyal fans. But like anyone successful she is going to have some that don't like her. She has given people a reasn not to trust her with her getting caught using steroids.

It is not Dana that was preventing her from fighting. There were a variety of factors. Ronda says she won't fight her a catch weight and being the champion she has the right to make some stipulations. Well at least she was the champion then. There is reason to believe that she was cheating a long time and may still be cheating the system using some type of masking agents or that she is cycling her use of steroid to avoid being caught using. If true this can provide her an unfair advantage in size and power. It would not be worth it if risk your health and safety fighting someone that me have this type of advantage. Cyborg didn't have a contract with the UFC. She her husband had issues with the organization if I'm not mistaken. There is no current weight division for a woman of her weight. If you want to fight the champ you have to meet the weight requirements for that weight class. Look at Conner McGreggor. He fought in a higher weight class and lost. But the belt was not on the line because they didn't fight at the weight class for that championship belt.

Cyborg is a great female fighter. But she is a known cheater. Even if she never cheats again it will be remembered.

The UFC didn't want Cyborg because she repeatedly gets caught using steroids and shows no remorse or desire to quit. I'm actually surprised she got into the UFC at all, given the fiasco that would arise for the company if she tests positive after winning the belt.

Although I do respect and like Chris Cyborg, one needs to remember that she used anabolic steroids, this can give her an advantage nothing wrong with it according to me but is it fair to place her against semi-natural athletes?

Also I am afraid that since she lost weight and muscle tone she might not be in her usual form.

She walks around at the same weight as Nick Diaz and Connor McSqueaker, 170, which is odd for a 5' 8" woman with no fat. Makes you wonder.

Honestly it comes down to 2 reasons.

    1) she used anabolic steroids, which forever questions if she's currently clean or not. And even if she was currently clean, she could have muscles and tendons built/strengthened during her steroid cycles

    2) she looks like a transsexual/man lady. This turns people off because people don't like to root for very ugly people in general. They also don't like the idea of a man pretending to be a woman in order to win fights, which could be the case

    Haters

She failed one drug test 5 years ago. Put a bad taste in peoples mouths, and like you said she is likely the best female fighter in the world, unfortunately she fights at 145 lbs and that division doesn't exist (yet) in the ufc. The greats are always hated.
