IBS and Anxiety. Can being anxious give you gas, stomach pains, and diarrhea? I've been diagnosed with IBS and anxiety?

    It can be a contributing factor. The IBS sufferer must have strategies to manage stress as digestive ailments have many causes. Changing diet, exercising, deep breathing, and a sunny outlook can help. Solving prolonged problems either by seeing experts or talk therapy can help. While Dr's are quick with Rx's for anxiety, those create other problems such as dependency for life.

    It certainly can, IBS can be caused by stress.
