How do I follow up on a job offer with Jamba Juice?!?

1 week and a half ago I had my first interview with a Jamba Juice assistant, 2 days later with the general manager. I felt pretty confident on both interviews except I was asked a couple times by the general manager if I had any questions for him so that sort of tickled me, because I only asked 2, but how can I follow up to see if I got the job?! What can I say?!

Here is my idea for you. Get comfortable and make a call. You call Jamba Juice and ask for the same person who interviewed you a week and a half ago. Here is what you say. “Hi, my name is (whatever your name is) and I interviewed with you 8 days ago. I am wondering if you need any other information about me to make a decision to hire me? I am ready to start at any time.”

That is all you need to say at this point. Let them talk. Don’t interrupt. Just let them talk. If they say, “Oh sure, I remember you, are you ready to begin today?” (This has happened to me personally at least a dozen times). The managers were rattling around in there and just put off hiring me because they were distracted constantly. My call reminded them of my interview and they hired me immediately. Now, if it does not go like that for you, you are now free to go out to ten or more businesses of the same nature as Jamba Juice and apply in person. Always dress ready for work. Be ready to step into the store and begin training. Entry level jobs work like that. They need you, but some of the managers don’t realize it until they see you standing in front of them ready for work. If they are a type of business that has huge weekend trade, go there on Monday morning and apply. Their memories of being swamped are fresh in their minds. They will hire you before you can say your name. Always be ready to go to work. Be dressed appropriately and be ready.

you need to wait 2 weeks from the last interview date, and if not contacted, send an email asking about your app

I would send the manager an email, keeping it professional, and that him for his time that he took out of his day to interview. Do not ask "did I get the job?"

If you got the job they call you. You do not need to call them unless they told you to.
