How much is my car worth?

Modified 1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX, All Wheel Drive, has

Front mounted intercooler

Forced performance dsm green turbo

Aftermarket Cams

Walboro 255 Fuel pump

6 puck ACT clutch

Full thermal 3inch exhaust

Aftermarket turbo manifold with small leak

How much would you think my car is worth? KBB says it s worth a small amount, yet people on craigslist tend to put similar cars at much higher prices, so I m wondering who I should go with, craigslist, or KBB.

Update:

It was the exhaust manifold that has a small leak

You can't go by KBB because they can't evaluate modifications.

The truth is a modified car has a very small audience of potential buyers. Many times modifications lowers the value because of the unknown source foor the mods. If they were poorly done then the cars performance actually suffers. Mods also lowers the reliability of a car. Most guys that want to modify their cars want to do it themselves, they don't want someone else making those decisions.

Your car is basically worth whatever someone is willing to give you for it today. Tomorrow the price may be different. It all depends on who is looking and how bad they want the car. There is no price guide for modified cars.

That's a $500-$1000 car, depending on the buyer. You need to understand that people on Craigslist are ASKING for that much, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're SELLING for that much. The modifications don't really mean much to a buyer, as most people interested in a car like that want to do their own modifications.

You'd be lucky to top out at $1000. Good luck.

All the aftermarket stuff actually makes the car worth less to most potential buyers. People don't want cars that have been messed with by amateur mechanics. I would say your car is worth $900 at best, especially since it has problems.

not that much. its a 92 eclipse with a manifold leak. people on craigslist can try charging whatever they want for their car, thats how people get ripped off. (but usually they end up getting talked down to a more reasonable price) has the engine ever been rebuilt? have u ever replaced any suspension components? ball joints? struts? sway bar linkage? control arm bushings? everything is still old and falling apart. the mods are cool but they dont add significant value to the car.

There is the what it is worth price KBB, and the what you might get for it price for those who think all those mods are worth something other than" who- my car is trick dude". You can ask what you want, will you get it? , try and see.
