Possible ash in my PC.?

Some ash may have gotten into my PC as a result of a recent fire in the laundrette below my flat. I was just going to vacuum around the fans or should I take it to a repair shop. I haven't used it since the fire and quite a lot of smoke got into my flat.

DO NOT VACUUM YOUR COMPUTER!!!! EVER EVER EVER EVER!!!! NOT EVEN AROUND YOUR FANS!!!!

Used compressed air to clean out around the fans. Open the unit up and spray out the inside. As far as whether it needs a professional attention just depends. Smoke is a contaminate but whether it effected anything depends on whether the computer was running at the time if it was smoke or if there was soot too.

Is any of your furniture effected by the fire? If you don't see soot and ash on your clothes or furniture, then there's nothing to worry about with your computer. Just spray it out with compressed air NOT a vacuum. Vacuums damage the hardware.
