Col 1:18 tells us Jesus was the firstborn of the dead, being the firstborn to die an physical death and being raised up a spirit being Jesus was the first that this happen too! Col 1:14-15 states it is by means of Jesus our relief by ransom, the forgiveness of our sins, then it says Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. The King James says this: Col 1:14-15) In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature(calling Jesus a creature)

Being the firstborn of the dead means Jesus was first to be raised a spirit, being the firstborn of every creature (creation) means that Jesus was the first one to be created, Proverbs 8:22-31 gives an account of Jesus in his beginning.

Matthew 28:18 says) And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. (KJ)

(NWT) 18 Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth.

Who gave Jesus this power, Hebrews 1:1-2,6, 8-9,13 gives us the answer) Long ago God spoke to our forefathers by means of the prophets on many occasions and in many ways. 2 Now at the end of these says he has spoken to us by means of a Son whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the system of things. 6 But when he again brings his Firstborn into the inhabited earth, he says: “And let all of God’s angels do obeisance to him.” (Matt 28:18)

    Brief answer, as requested:

Those 3 scriptures 'fit' the Trinity doctrine, because this doctrine clearly states that the Father is not the Son, and the Son is not the Father - they are distinct as to 'person'.

Sadly, a lot of people have been misled as to what the Trinity doctrine teaches. They have been led to believe that it says the Father is the same as the Son, and the Son is the same as the Father. No, it doesn't. Only once people get this clear can they progress on to the second point of the Trinity doctrine, that the 'persons' are co-equal and uncreated. It's the idea of the Son of God being uncreated that anti-trinitarians need to ask Trinitarians about, because that is the bone of contention - not the fact that the Son is not the same 'person' as the Father. Hope that helps!

John 17 underscores that jesus left divinity to become human.

Same with John 20 and Corinthians

You jehovah's witnesses follow Russell who was no pastor and a drunk attorney (Rutherford), both with really no theological training and no wonder that you have to scripture hop to such an extent to bend the bible to fit your cult theology.

    '

Catholicism has literally hundreds of years on you. You should pay attention to your betters.

The JW cult is not even recognized as a real religion by those who really understand the bible.

Humble yourself and study the scriptures from educated people not ninnies.

Jesus Himself taught this concept to His disciples:

    Matthew 28:18-20

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Those three scriptures DO NOT contradict the Trinity doctrine of faith.

Philip: 2V7:"But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

V8:"And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and BECAME obedient......"

V11:..................to the glory of God the Father."

Everything that Jesus did, he did it for God the Father, the title and the servitude of Jesus when He became man, HE WAS NOT CREATED since HE HIMSELF IS CREATOR GOD though not the FATHER.

People are confused by the relationship of Jesus, with the Heavenly Father, and they don't understand, that Jesus BECAME and no one can become anything, except they be God, and capable of becoming, whatever they need to be, to serve God the Father or a purpose.

It DIMINISHES GOD the father, if someone wants Jesus to be less than God, due to the person lack of wisdom and vision or understanding of the special relationship of the Holy Trinity.

1Cor.8V4: part b: "and that there is NONE other God but one." That verifies the teaching that God is one--three personalities but ONE GOD--Unity and Essence in the Godhead.

When you go further down, in verse 6:"But to us there is but ONE God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him."

Then if we do not understand what the Trinity or the Godhead is all about--

1Cor.11:3:"But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ, ...........and the head of Christ is God."

Has nothing to do with Jesus not being God or even less in deity than God the father.

The title of God is equal in the Holy Trinity.

If we think it is three gods

Or separate gods Or Jesus is less than God

Or the Holy Spirit is less than God.

Matthew 28V19: says it all: We baptize in the NAME of and not PLURAL NAMES. of.

God the Holy Trinity exist since day 1. "Let US Make man in Our Image" says Elohim = God in plural. Just to begin with

Here's the wacky truth: The Bible contradicts itself! That's why you spooky cultists can debate the Trinity with normal Christians all day long. Get a life.

No, it's true. Certain verses can be used to "prove" that Jesus is god. Other verses "prove" that he isn't. Same with eternal Hell and life after death/soul sleep. One thing all normal people can agree on is that the biblical god's name wasn't "jehovah".
