What are your thoughts on the MGTOW movement/ideology? (Women welcome to give their opinion).?

It is funny that so many women are asking, "Where have all the good men gone?"

Google: 'herbivore men' I think the MGTOW movement may have started in Japan. But, however it started… it is because many men have assessed this feminist, social & legal climate (run/coerced by women) and realized that a relationship with a woman is not worth the risks. It's all about pros and cons... There is nothing advantageous in a marriage anymore. Feminism is (and has been) toxic to society.

Feminism has abolished traditional gender roles. Yet, they can't stand that men might have benefited from the destruction of the traditional gender roles.

Feminism will only celebrate the freeing of women from their traditional female gender roles, yet condemns men for taking advantage as they have been freed from their traditional male gender roles as well, mainly as the providers & protectors of women. MGTOW is about male liberation. Men are free to do what they want. Yet, it 'seems' that feminism still wants to dictate to men what their male gender roles should be.

It's NOT a " movement " as it does not have a leadership , unlike feminism which does have a ( man hating ) leadership , it is a reaction to general anti male female sentiments , women view men as beneath their contempt anyway , a man is just a utility to a woman. Agree with previous posts , what took men so long. Just need a safe ,effective male libido killer be developed , then men will rightly turn their backs on women in vast numbers. As per previous posts , women will be more than happy with this...women only value other women , & want men to stay the F away from them anyway !! This trend is accelerating !!

I am a MGTOW to the extreme. I live in a third world country on a 40 acre piece of property where I build my own big and beautiful concrete house. I live off the grid, grown some of my own food and I have few possessions. My only bills are food and property tax. I have an engineering degree, I am very healthy and financially secure. I was raised fatherless and until I can be assured that being fatherless would not happen to my children I will stay a MGTOW.

I can kind of see where they're coming from, and it's ultimately their choice. I don't like the way marriage entangles the partner's assets with each other; For me, marriage is about formalizing commitment, and I think me and my husband should own each other's property and share it based on mutual agreement, so I can sympathise with men not wanting to lose their assets in a divorce, with is quite common these days. I can also see how men might not want to settle down and have kids, because the courts are biased in favour of mothers and make fathers pay child support, sometimes more than their actual income, instead of letting them take care of and spend on their children themselves. Also, some men just don't benefit from being in relationships.

What annoys me is women who expect society to give them a man. That's horrible, because men, just like women, are free creatures, and if they don't want to date you, then that's their right, just like how women aren't obligated to have sex with anyone.

Well first of all, yes, I have never heard someone claim they're MGTOW in real life. Also, before you complain about women, think about how men still treat us.

Many men are still sexist, rude, and even abusive towards women. How can you say it's a society run by women when women are still paid less than men, but products "for women" cost more than ones "for men"?

Yes, in some ways we have made progress in abolishing gender roles, but in some ways, SOME (not all) men are sexist a**holes.

Also, some women who say they're feminists do not really want equality. They DO want a society run by women. But they are not true feminists. Feminism is women trying to balance society equally between men and women. True feminists are not interested in putting down men to help ourselves.

I think it's okay for guys to not marry etc but plenty of mgtow I know refuse to have kids which I think is basically racial suicide as many of the mgtow I know are young white men and white birth rates are bad enough with women refusing to have children, if guys do it too then it's just plain idiotic and im gonna have to have another tonne of kids just to keep the birth rate at a steady 2.1

I have no problem with MGTOW if the men involved are just not interested in relationships. That's everyone's prerogative.

I have a problem with the men who are MGTOW because they believe all women are vicious money grubbing whores. They are not so much men going their own way as men running away from imaginary evils.

I don't care what other people think or do as long as they don't hurt or insult others. I love my husband and he is a traditional guy. He has never given me drama, we have never argued over who should do this or shouldn't do that. I am not interested in drama and I except people I interact with women or men to remain drama free. That's all. I don't care what other people's personal beliefs are if they don't affect me.
