Jehovah's Witnesses. When was God's word (the Bible) declared an infallible doctrine perfect for teaching?

KJV

1st Thessalonians 2:23 it talks about God's word being distributed by the disciples as God's word and not from humans.

2nd Corinthians 4:2 says : But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

So to me it seems that scriptures are clear that the Disciples were accountable to God for His word as it was infallible at the time they were filled by the Holy Spirit. How can you justify the Watchtower changing it on these two verses?

Please rethink where you get your information. The NWT book you follow from WT or God's Word (Bible) delivered by the Disciples under God's Authority. There is a big difference and you are being deceived by men.

    Hello Dennis

I would like to bounce right to your scripture you quoted and just say that it does not go up to 23 but 20 and my husband has confirmed it with a bible dating 1827 King James.

But also to add: that the disciples were human lol

Jehovah, our Creator declared his world to be infallible for teaching and has proved true, time and time and time again.

I would just like to mention something to prove this. Take for example: Ignaz Semmelweis who was an assistant to a professor at the First Maternity Clinic in 1846 and there was something called: childbed fever, which was women dying a horrible slow death, as they gave birth! There were two clinics and noted that the first one, the mortality rate was higher than the second one! The difference? The first one was with medical students and guess what? They also performed autopsies but did not sterilise their hands, before attending women giving birth!

Now, in numbers 19:11:22 Jehovah said that anyone handling a corpse is unclean for 7 days! So why is it that centuries later, people were ignorant? The bible was apparently read out in church, so why the ignorance?

The bible is far more superior than any other literature and besides, the bible is 66 scrolls.

I am puzzled as to your suggestion that the wording of these scriptures you cite, have different meanings. In my copy of the KJV of the bible and the NWT the statements are identical. The alternate wording does not change the meaning.

BTW there is no 1st Thessalonians 2:23.

Hopefully, you do realize that there were several other versions of the Bible before the King James came into existence?

The Writers of the NWT went back to the translations BEFORE the King James Version and compared them. Where they felt the KJV had lost the original meaning, they went back to the ORIGINAL meaning.

So what do you really want, a version with mistranslations or a more accurate version?

As an interesting point: I began studying with the Witnesses in 1969 out of my KJV. I had no trouble figuring out in my KJV that they were right in their teaching. ... This new version is easier for young folks to read and understand.

    Shalom!

They believe the bible to be word of Gd, yet use a false, manmade name. The Four gospels were added to the a mistranslated, reedited Tanakh

Also, the bible they read is the one Martin Luther edited, aswell as edited at Council of Nicea.

Could it be that Trinitarians translated the Bible to suit their beliefs in the Trinity, hell and the rest of their hokey beliefs?

I didn't think you thought that. But then they did. They even added scriptures to plug in the Trinity belief. They did their best to obscure the fact that Jehovah is God by removing his name and adding the word lord in its place.

Witnesses corrected the erroneous translations in how the Trinitarians translated the Bilbe.
