Why do Jehovah's Witnesses not celebrate birthdays?
In the oldest book of the Bible, the book of Job chapter 1 it t Job and his family celebrated birthdays with great feasts. Job was very blessed by God. So how do JW's rationalize their stance. It is biblical that it is okay.
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality5 years agoHow long do you think it took Adam and Eve to disobey Jesus after He told them to not eat from that one tree in the Garden of Eden.?
10 minutes or how long do you think.
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality5 years agoDoes this argument for Evolution make any sense to anyone else? Or is for Creation?
In a discussion about evolution I mentioned about how I have a hard time umderstanding all that is from the Big Bang with no direction towards perfection and purpose. And this was a response below (I believe it was intended for evolution )
"Anyone whose objections are based on what you can expect from explosions is proving that he knows absolutely nothing about the relevant science."
Seems like it actually would be against both theories.
Your thoughts.
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality5 years agoJehovah's Witnesses. When was God's word (the Bible) declared an infallible doctrine perfect for teaching?
KJB1611
1st Thessalonians 2:13 it talks about God's word being distributed by the disciples as God's word and not from humans.
2nd Corinthians 4:2 says : But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
So to me it seems that scriptures are clear that the Disciples were accountable to God for His word as it was infallible at the time they were filled by the Holy Spirit. How can you justify the Watchtower changing it on these two verses?
Please rethink where you get your information. The NWT book you follow from WT or God's Word (Bible) delivered by the Disciples under God's Authority. There is a big difference and you are being deceived by men.

7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality5 years agoFor those that Believe in God, His word is deemed to be an infallible doctrine so how do JW's justify their version?
God's laws reflect upon His wisdom, JW's watchtower act as if He had left out something which was needed, and which man could supply; in one way or other they lead men to discount God's ability to be Emmanuel in Jesus. How thankful ought we to be for the written Word of God! Never let us think that the religion of the Bible can be improved by any human addition, either in doctrine or practice.
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality5 years agoUnder Your belief, does a person that never got caught for the evil things he did ever pay the "Justice" price?
Meaning a person that lies, cheats, steels, or commits even more deplorable crimes such as rape, murder or is a pedophile but never gets caught. Say Karma doesn't catch up with him. Does this person pay the penalty for his actions especially if he is not sorry at all and dies with no consequences.?
