BEAUTY products, like you've mentioned DOES NOT fix, or change discolorations, caused by . . . . it could very well do more harm than good, unless you know what CAUSED it, to find solution for it. It could even make them even LIGHTER than your natural skin, caused by chemicals.

Example, I had Discoid Lupus a type of skin disease, caused from the sun. How I got it, when I've been protecting my skin from the sun, since age 9? Beats me! But dermatologist gave me products to use very little, to test, then discontinue, but on its own, it took 12 years for my 'discolorations' to fade away.

Each time I take a shower, I exfoliate using a wash cloth & body wash.

For one thing: Oral contraceptives can upset your skin, since hormones in BCP make pigment cells more sensitive to the sun, resulting in brown blotches.

FOR YOUR SCALP, wear a hat. I always wear an umbrella, to protect my skin & my hair from the sun, they were invented to protect us from the elements. The sun causes your hair to get sunburned, too!
