How do you get gas turned to lacquer out of motorcycle gas tanks?

    Add lacquer thinner, slosh around a bit, then dump it (that is properly dispose it). May take a couple of washes, but that is about the best solvent for that purpose.

    I wouldn't go with MEK, that stuff is NASTY (as in will f you up).

    Put in 4-6 oz. of acetone, shake and swirl, then drain. Repeat.

    Acetone can be found at any paint or hardware store.

    MEK (methyl ethyl ketone) oughtta do it, but watch out, it eats paint, and use it outdoors.
