Ha! Jealous? Why would anyone be jealous of an inbred family of German heritage being fawned over by British sycophants? While America certainly has its own cast of dubious characters (as any country does), Americans see British royalty for what it is -- a ridiculous archaic pantomime of unattractive people that the British irrationally cling to. It's mind-boggling to try and grasp how a nation of proud Brits does not question the exorbitant wealth and inherited privilege amassed by its symbolic leader and that leader's family. It all makes Britain seem very silly and Britons seem like mindless sheep.

Do you really think the Americans are 'jealous' of our Royal Family? Personally I think they are fascinated with them because they don't have anything like that themselves (and clearly didn't want that!!) but that's all. And don't rule out how the whole world is 'media led' these days and while there are people eager to believe everything they read, there will always be that fascination. Sadly because most of it is made up!!!

Yes, we all stay up nights wishing we had a royal family. For what purpose? We can't figure that out, but you guys seem to enjoy standing in the streets and cheering for people who do nothing for your country. Why?

My grandfather's family is part of the royal family. I couldn't care less.

Not all of the silly questions are posed by Americans. There are British republicans, Australian republicans with accounts that pose questions with a bias.
