Lash serum when breastfeeding one year old.?

Looking this up, lash serum appears to be some sort of topical medication you apply to your eyelids or lashes to stimulate lash growth?

With rare exceptions, topical medications are minimally absorbed into the body, and even less would pass into the milk.

The package information gives the usual CYA warning about how 'we don't know if this gets into the milk, but because some drugs get into the milk, we recommend that you don't use it, or stop breastfeeding if you are going to.' Which doesn't mean that it is or isn't' safe, just that they can't be bothered to do the research.

So I suppose it's up to you want to you want to do.

Harm would seem to be very unlikely, but OTOH, this ISN'T something you need to be taking or using for any sort of medical reason. If your lashes are too thin, [whatever that means] it would seem more sensible (and much less expensive) to use mascara or false eyelashes and wait until baby is weaned for any cosmetic treatments.

(And no, there is NO rush to 'get him off the boob if you both want to continue.)

You do know that stuff can change the color of your lashes (white) and/or make them fall out?

Why the rush? Just wait until you've decided to stop breastfeeding. While you're waiting, do some more research on the stuff.

It's no one's decision but yours when to end breast feeding. Does he need the nutrition at 14 months? Probably not. Does he need the closeness and comfort? Maybe.

Your eyelashes will still be there when you and your little guy both think nursing is over.

Get him off that boob!!
