Anyone know how long a 85ah battery will charge from flat? Batter charger is a 6amp, AC 230-240v / 50Hz, 0.5A?

Charging time will vary depending on variables
associated with specifics of the battery being charged.
That said, if, after 14 to 16 hours, the battery has not
come up all the way, it may be bad or rapidly going bad.

if your battery charger delivers exactly 6 amps at all times (it doesn't) and the battery is 100% efficient charge cycle (it isn't) then 15 hours is the theoretical time to charge. since most inexpensive chargers taper the amp rate and batteries aren't all that efficient, it is more like 24 hours would be needed. the uncertainty in charging time is the reason you should use an automatic charger.
