Atheist, if evolution was real why do we still occasionally bite the inside of our mouths?

You'd think that evolution would mean that we wouldn't confuse our cheeks with food outside of our lips, wouldn't you?

--- Wait....you don't think this poses a FAR bigger problem for those who believe we were created by an all knowing and perfect God?

    Weird.

Personally, widsom teeth alone are evidence enough that there is no God.

But if we were designed, we wouldn't do that (unless the designer was that inept).

So this none fatal error is evidence for evolution.

People who do that, generally do it in error.

If you honestly don't know the difference between your own inner cheek and food, then you probably crap into your own mouth, as well, and you are so goddam stupid you are beyond help

Nothing in evolutionary theory suggests we should be perfectly designed. That's more a creationist canard that doesn't hold up well to examination as there are plenty of things that function imperfectly consistent with genetic mutations over time adapting structures piecemeal. Evolution only shows that natural selection shapes these mutations in those with changes that allow them to continue to survive in an environment are the ones that pass on their genes.

Because evolution is by no means a 'perfect' system - it's non-random selection that makes progress of a kind. If we could 'rewind' our species to many thousands of years before today then there is zero guarantee that we'd be the same as we are now.

You'd also think that if we were created as we are, and that we were created by a perfect being, that also wouldn't bite the insides of our mouths. Does it make sense that a PERFECT creator would make our mouths capable of biting themselves? Thats extremely poor design.

Just because your brain is retarded doesn't mean the rest of us have this problem.

If evolution wasn't real why is your pinky toe so much smaller then your great grandfather's?

Christian (I'm following your lead in using the singular form while assuming to address multiple people), if God was real and who you say he is, then he would have no problem convincing everyone. You'd think that every single person would believe in him, wouldn't you?

My golly! If no evolution, then Goddidit! Also Godmustadoneit!

That must mean that God's design had a flaw, eh?

Evolution's not perfect. I would ask if we were designed intelligently how could this design flaw escape a perfect being?
