Do volunteer hours boost your university applications?

Im going into grade 10 and was wondering how universities see volunteer hours. The high school requirement is 40 hours. If i got 100+ hours for example, would that improve my chance of getting into a college program??

Well, having 100+ volunteer hours shows that you do other stuff in life, other than just going to school and studying. Colleges may see this as part of extracurricular activities

Not really. Most colleges look at your class-rank, GPA and SAT/ACT test scores. And in that order, as it's the order of importance.
