You take your break when you are told to take your break. What would the impact be if everyone took their break at the same time? Your probably get 2- 15 min breaks plus a 30 minute meal break (at the middle of your shift). Most places won't let you combine your 15 minute break with your meal break (making it 1 hr) because other employees need their brake and can't take on if you (and others) are on theirs. If you have no benefits, you might be lucky just to be a meal break.

Your supervisor will tell you when you need to take your break and for how long.
Word of advise: Don't let your Boss know that your main concern about this new job is when and how long your breaks are. You won't keep that job long if that is all you worry about.

Everybody takes their breaks at the same time. You get a 15 minute paid break at midnight, a one-hour unpaid lunch at 2AM and another 15 minute paid break at 5AM.

You will be told when you get your breaks. You will get no more breaks than the law requires. Alabama has no requirements for breaks, so you may never get any breaks.
