Can you catch a std from the ocean?

I'm from the uk and as most people know the waters not all that clean or clear and I was swimming in it and I felt some water go arround or maybe in my vagina I was just wondering if it was possible catching a std that way I'm a verry paranoid person (I'm a virgin)

    If you had sex with some one that has an std while you were in the ocean then you can get an std.

    You're not going to get an std from just going in the water. Stds don't float around in the ocean.

    you can only catch an STD by having sex with an infected person. You can I catch an STD from swimming poolor the ocean. You can only catch an STD let's all repeat this until we learn it by having sex with an infected person

    No. STD stands for "Sexually Transmitted Disease." Swimming does not constitute sexual transmission. Just like you can't catch an STD from a doorknob.
